En Mexico..

My family lineage traces back over 7 generations in the historic borough of Cuauhtémoc in the Tlatelolco neighborhood where I too was born. Although my time on these lands was limited. I’ve carried all the ancestral spirit energy that made these lands historic for being a place where revolution took place. Where injustice was met with resistance and where the people stood for something.

At the tender age of 18 months my story of migration began and a new identity was born.

–Kansas City–

Kansas City became my new home throughout all my formative years. I pursued my college degree at Kansas State University studying Human Resource Management and minored in Spanish and American Ethnic Studies. I was the first in my family to have attended and successfully completed an undergraduate degree. Being the translator and connector to the outside world for my family as a child was a means of survival that later became my superpower.

My ability to not only shift between Spanish and English perfectly, but to understand the nuances in each culture gave me a special skill that filled a need in corporations trying to tap into the Latino consumer. I began my career at Hormel Foods  on the East Coast where I explored how to use data to tell a story, supported marketing campaigns in retail stores, and became certified by Delta Associates for Data Analytics and Strategic Corporate Sales. My passion has always been to connect the two cultures together to build inclusion and understanding of the Latino user/consumer. That curiousity led me to California.

My Journey Into Design

I stumbled into design while redesigning my own life. My journey started in sales and tech, fueled by curiosity about people—how they think, act, and connect. Teaching myself web design for my holistic wellness business, I realized I loved solving problems through research, observation, and iteration—the heart of product design.

My mindfulness practice guides everything I do, helping me dive deep into human behavior, from user testing to understanding how technology impacts people’s lives. I thrive on connecting insights from research to create products that are intuitive, inclusive, and meaningful.

Outside work, you’ll find me dancing Salsa and Bachata, teaching yoga, or exploring ways to help people connect with themselves and the world around them. I believe we all want the same things: to be heard, understood, and supported—and I bring that belief into every product I design.

Curious how I blend research, intuition, and culture into design?
